Description

Hog Pog is an English independant games studio that Samuel Silvester ('pighead10') develops games under. He does the programming, but outsources the graphics and sound to talented individuals across the internet in order to create fun games.

History

Early history

Samuel "pighead10" Silvester started creating standalone games for fun when he was twelve years old as part of the December 2011 Ludum Dare competition. He continued to program games for Ludum Dare, entering it every four months, and decided that he would try and create a commercial game in October 2012. The name and website "Hog Pog" was set up to be a place for his personal creations, as well as commercial projects.

Immortui

Inspired by the Ludum Dare October Challenge, Samuel decided to develop a puzzle game which would become commercial, shortly after his 15th birthday. The work on the game was slow during this period due to school and other commitments taking up time, so development was slow but steady, as the game was only really developed for a short time during weekends. In May 2013, Samuel found an artist from the Ludum Dare community that was enthuastic and willing to create the sprites and textures for the game - Samuel "Blarget2" Eddy. Development for Immortui increased in pace as there now a clear deadline and goals were in sight. Later in the same month, Hog Pog searched popular internet communities to find a musician, and was approached by the super talented Jameson Bell from Epic Bear Concepts. The amazing music he produced forms a key part of the top down, 2d, zombie puzzle shooter "Imortui", which is now available to purchase on Desura.
